This study investigates the living conditions and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) in China. The study found that SCI participants in China have low HRQoL and reemployment rates, highlighting the need for better community and vocational rehabilitation programs. The research emphasizes the importance of accessible medical services to improve the well-being and reduce the burden of SCI in China.
Accessible community rehabilitation programs are crucial for enhancing the daily living activities and improving employment prospects for individuals with SCI.
Vocational skills training and workplace environment optimization are needed to promote workforce reintegration.
Financial assistance programs, including enhancing commercial insurance coverage alongside the national basic healthcare system, can alleviate economic burdens faced by SCI individuals and their families.
