Spinal cord injury (SCI) can affect not only physical functions but also mental and emotional well-being. This study explores a comprehensive rehabilitation program that combines traditional physiotherapy with innovative technologies like robotics and virtual reality to improve outcomes for individuals with SCI. The multidisciplinary approach includes physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychological support, robotic devices, and cognitive rehabilitation. The goal is to evaluate the impact of this integrated intervention on cognitive, motor, and behavioral outcomes, as well as the overall quality of life for those with SCI. The study found significant improvements in lower limb function, cognitive functioning, and quality of life, along with a reduction in depressive symptoms. These positive results highlight the potential benefits of using comprehensive and multidisciplinary rehabilitation approaches for individuals with spinal cord injuries.
The study supports the use of comprehensive rehabilitation programs that integrate traditional and technological interventions to improve outcomes for SCI patients.
The findings emphasize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach that addresses motor, cognitive, and psychological aspects of recovery.
The study suggests that personalized rehabilitation paths, guided by the combination of robotics and VR, contributed to improved patient satisfaction.
