This study investigated the long-term effects of adding mirabegron to existing antimuscarinic treatments for bladder issues in people with spinal cord injuries. The study found that adding mirabegron improved bladder capacity, reflex volume, and bladder compliance, and reduced leakage. These findings suggest that mirabegron can be a helpful addition to standard treatments for bladder dysfunction in individuals with spinal cord injuries, improving their bladder function over the long term.
Mirabegron add-on therapy can significantly improve bladder capacity and compliance in SCI patients.
The study showed a reduction in urinary leakage, enhancing the quality of life for patients.
Mirabegron's sustained efficacy over a long term suggests it as a viable option for chronic management of NLUTD in SCI patients.
