Spinal cord injury (SCI) requires comprehensive rehabilitation services, and this study identifies strategies to strengthen these services globally, especially in resource-limited settings. The study emphasizes workforce development and education as critical for SCI rehabilitation, including specialized training, certification, and ongoing support to build capacity. The research also highlights the need for better data collection and national registries to improve SCI care and align practices with global standards.
Invest in specialized training and certification programs for healthcare professionals in SCI management.
Establish national registries and data collection systems to guide policy and improve evidence-based practices.
Integrate SCI care into primary care and emergency response systems to improve access and address complications early.
