This study examines the characteristics and treatment approaches for individuals who have both paraplegia (lower body paralysis) and lower extremity amputation. The research focuses on how to best rehabilitate these patients, considering both the spinal cord injury and the amputation to create personalized treatment plans. The goal is to improve their ability to perform daily tasks by using prostheses that support self-care.
Clinical treatment and rehabilitation plans should be tailored to address both spinal cord injury and amputation.
Prostheses can be effectively used to improve self-care ability in spinal cord injury patients with lower limb amputation.
A team approach, involving comprehensive rehabilitation evaluation and individualized plans, is necessary to restore body image and improve self-care ability.
