The 15th Mediterranean Forum of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (MFPRM) Congress convened in Rome, uniting over 600 specialists and residents to exchange knowledge and research. A diverse gathering with approximately 200 residents and young specialists participated. Established in 1994, the MFPRM strives to connect PRM specialists and residents across Mediterranean Basin countries, currently encompassing 29 member nations. The main theme of the 2023 Congress was “Beyond COVID”. The congress featured workshops on muscle-skeletal ultrasounds, irritable larynx syndrome, spasticity management, Anu-yoga, mesotherapy, and salivary glands treatment. Distinguished colleagues delivered main lectures across various fields of expertise.
The congress fostered international cooperation, which can lead to improved rehabilitation practices and research.
Sharing the latest advancements helps PRM specialists implement innovative treatments and approaches.
Highlighting the adaptability of PRM in the face of challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic encourages proactive responses to future crises.
