Clean intermittent self-catheterization (CISC) is a method for managing incomplete bladder emptying in patients with neurogenic bladder conditions. The Intermittent Catheterisation Difficulty Questionnaire (ICDQ) helps assess difficulties patients face during CISC. This study translated the ICDQ into Greek and confirmed its reliability, emphasizing the need for urologist consultations and comprehensive treatment evaluations.
The ICDQ can facilitate a more detailed evaluation of CISC difficulties, leading to better treatment strategies and catheter selection.
Frequent use of the ICDQ allows healthcare professionals to monitor the effectiveness of treatment strategies and adjust regimens as needed.
The ICDQ provides a structured framework for discussing CISC-related challenges between patients and healthcare providers.
